Ella Butterfly Mother of Pearl & CZ Necklace + Mimi Safety Pin Choker Necklace

Do you have one of those things where anytime you see it, you’re instantly reminded of something special?

Well, one of those things for me is a butterfly.

When I was 13 years old, my sweet little cousin Erika Kate passed away after receiving a heart transplant when she was just four years old. To honor Erika and her memory, her parents created a foundation to help other families who were going through similar situations. The logo of the foundation donned a butterfly because Erika loved butterflies and beautiful things– and since then, whenever I see a butterfly, I can’t help but think of Erika.

This is a photo of my siblings and I at a 5k where we had a team walking for Erika Kate (pictured on the banner behind us).

Sasha Grace Designs is a local jewelry designer in the north suburbs of Chicago. The shop is named after the owner Dawn’s daughter and was inspired by the love they share for making jewelry. SGD is a philanthropic company that is always finding a way to give back. When I first visited their website, I found a beautiful piece written by Sasha herself about a friend of hers who had passed away from cancer and how they were donating a portion of proceeds to her foundation for over a year.

It didn’t take much to see that this was a company I wanted to partner with. When I saw the beautiful mother-of-pearl butterfly necklace, I instantly felt connected to it and knew I needed to add it to my jewelry collection. I chose the Ella Butterfly Mother of Pearl & CZ Necklace and Mimi Safety Pin Choker Necklace and they look beautiful layered together, and now when I wear them, I’ll have another beautiful reminder of my sweet cousin.

Sasha Grace has so many gorgeous, quality pieces that can be worn every day or dressed up for special occasions. I’m also obsessed with her line of stackable bracelets. Click here to check out the rest of her beautiful designs. You can use code WINDY30 for 30% off your purchase.
