Well, one of those things for me is a butterfly.
When I was 13 years old, my sweet little cousin Erika Kate passed away after receiving a heart transplant when she was just four years old. To honor Erika and her memory, her parents created a foundation to help other families who were going through similar situations. Sasha Grace Designs is a local jewelry designer in the north suburbs of Chicago. The shop is named after the owner Dawn’s daughter and was inspired by the love they share for making jewelry. SGD is a philanthropic company that is always finding a way to give back. When I first visited their website, I found a beautiful piece written by Sasha herself about a friend of hers who had passed away from cancer and how they were donating a portion of proceeds to her foundation for over a year.
It didn’t take much to see that this was a company I wanted to partner with.
