Loving this brown honeycomb sweater from Target! P.S. This is Alfie!

Hi lovelies,

If it hasn’t been made obvious by the flood of pumpkin spice lattes and fall decor flooding your feeds– it’s basically FALL. And in case you didn’t know, autumn is my absolute favorite season. Give me crisp fall mornings, chai lattes, and all the scarves, sweaters, and booties all day, every day. I love everything about fall, from football games to pumpkin patches, and I’m sure it is no surprise, my favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. It might be a tad early to start with all things fall, but as I’m currently sitting at 37-weeks+ pregnant, I needed to get a jump start on my fall decorating because I’m planning to be a little busy when the peak fall-season hits.

The first weekend in September, I started my fall cleaning and indoor fall decorating. Most of my indoor decor is from previous years, with the addition of some GREAT dollar section finds from Target and a few new items (candles, throw blanket, pillow) from HomeGoods. (Indoor decor blog post coming soon!)

I feel like I have my indoor fall decor to my liking, so I decided it was time to jump outside and work on the porch! Thankfully, my dad came to visit last weekend and was able to help me give the porch and siding a good scrubbing to prepare it for my decor. Then we took a trip over to The Home Depot to pick up some mums and pumpkins! We will eventually go to a pumpkin patch with the girls and get more pumpkins (that we may carve?), but for now, this worked perfect for us and selection of pumpkins and mums was great!

One thing I always recommend incorporating into your front porch fall decor is a teal pumpkin for food allergy awareness! For Halloween, we always have a bowl with non-food options for kids with food allergies. You can even register your house online so that parents know you have food allergy-friendly options!

We also got a new front door mat, as last year’s mat was looking a little worn. There were several adorable options, but seeing that my favorite classic film is The Wizard of Oz, when I saw the “There is no place like home” mat, I knew it was the one! Then I paired it with an adorable black and white buffalo plaid mat from Amazon underneath! All super great quality and very affordable.

My final piece of outdoor decor was my fall wreath! I kindaaa did a little DIY, kind of. I bought a beautiful wreath from Target and added a sunflower bloom and a cute little “R” from the dollar section on it to give it that personal touch. I LOVE how it turned out and it was probably much more affordable than had I bought one with all the details already on it.

Keep an eye out for part 2 of my fall decor blog. I’ll be sharing my favorite indoor decor and where to find it!
