The crisp autumn air is almost upon us, which means it’s time to plan some fantastic fall outings. Whether you’re heading out with the family or a group of friends, there’s no better way to embrace the season than by visiting one of the many pumpkin patches in the Chicago and Chicagoland area!

Grab your cozy sweaters and scarves, because we’ve compiled a list of must-visit spots complete with addresses, opening dates, hours, and a sneak peek into what makes each place special.

1. Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm

Address: 13341 W. 151st Street, Homer Glen, IL 60491

Opening Date: September 15th, 2023

Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM (weekdays), 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (weekends)

About Bengtson’s Pumpkin Farm: With over 30 acres of pumpkins, a petting zoo, pony rides, and a sprawling corn maze, Bengtson’s is a paradise for family fun. Don’t forget to check out their giant pumpkin displays and enjoy delicious seasonal treats.

2. Didier Farms

About Didier Farms: Didier Farms offers a charming atmosphere for pumpkin picking. Enjoy hayrides, a corn maze, and a petting zoo with adorable farm animals. Plus, their farm stand has fresh produce and homemade goodies. You definitely won’t want to miss their Happy Times Pumpkin Fest!

3. Jonamac Orchard

About Jonamac Orchard: Located just outside of Chicagoland, Jonamac Orchard is known for its picturesque orchards and pumpkin patches. In addition to picking pumpkins, you can explore their apple orchards, enjoy apple cider donuts, and sip on fresh apple cider.

4. Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center

Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (daily)

About Goebbert’s Farm & Garden Center: This farm is famous for its large selection of pumpkins, including unique varieties. Kids will adore the animal barn and pumpkin-eating dinosaur exhibit. Don’t leave without trying their famous apple cider donuts!

5. Stade’s Farm and Market

6. Jack’s Pumpkin Popup

7. Kuipers Family Farm

About Kuipers Family Farm: Nestled in the countryside of Maple Park, Kuipers Family Farm is a delightful destination for a day of pumpkin picking and autumn adventures. It’s a splendid spot for creating cherished family memories.
