Hi lovelies!
Well, the day is finally here. We go in tonight to start the labor induction process! With my first daughter, I was scheduled to be induced, but she decided she wanted to come on her own about 12 hours prior to our scheduled time, so this will be an entirely new labor experience for us!
I honestly cannot believe how quickly this pregnancy went, or at least how quickly it feels like it went, compared to my first. It blows my mind to think I will be coming home with another newborn and be the mommy of two precious little girls.
I keep thinking about the first time Ivy meets Isla. I feel like it will be one of three situations: she will be all over her, she will be indifferent, or she won’t be a fan right away. In my gut, I think she’s going to be drawn to her right away and want to play with her like a babydoll. So fingers crossed!
Between the additional health complications and the fact that I’ve had to be pregnant while taking care of a toddler, this pregnancy has definitely been harder than my first, but I knew the whole time, that no matter what, it was worth it. And now that the day is finally here, I know that to be truer than ever.
In honor of my “Labor Day” and because I appreciate you guys so much, I’ve paired up again with PinkBlush Maternity to do a fun little giveaway! To be entered to win a $75 PinkBlush Gift Card, all you have to do is go to my Instagram, find the photo with the giveaway information, like the photo, follow me (@thewindycitymama) and PinkBlush (@pinkblushmaternity), and tag a friend in the comments who you think would love to enter, as well! The giveaway will be open for one week (9/29-10/6), and the winner will be announced during the second week of October!
Please Note: This giveaway is open internationally and any person who has not won a PinkBlush giveaway in the last 6 months is eligible to win.
In the meantime, you should definitely go check out all of the gorgeous new fall items on Pink Blush‘s site, including my ridiculously soft and comfy, oversized, burgundy balloon-sleeve sweater that PinkBlush gifted me! It’s literally like wearing a blanket. It pairs great with jeans or leggings. I can’t wait to pair it was a fun plaid scarf as it gets a little chiller out! You can still use the code “
I just want to thank you all so much for following along with my second pregnancy journey. I can’t wait to see what is in store for my family and this blog next!
xx, the windy city mama
