Today is Small Business Saturday 2020– a day dedicated to supporting small businesses in our community and around the country! I love shopping via small businesses because I know I’m supporting a family with a dream, a mama with creative talent, a group of ladies sharing their love of something with their community, a chef who wants to share his food with the world, and so many others. It’s about supporting people who truly appreciate each and every purchase you make. Now, more than ever, it’s so important to support small businesses!
I wanted to share some of my favorite small businesses that I purchase from all year long!
These are my, hands-down, favorite custom mugs. TLP is owned and operated by my girl Sara locally here in Chicago. She has everything from mugs with cute sayings, to custom mugs with your baby or puppy’s face on them– she even started making custom face masks! They make amazing gifts, too!
LMD makes the
Alice & Wonder is one of my favorite shops in the city! It has the cutest clothes and gifts– including a line of Chicago products! This is where I got the girls and
If you’ve followed me for a while, it’s no secret how much I love acupuncture and the acupuncture clinic I visit regularly! Modern Acupuncture is a small business that feels like family! You can get your first session with them FREE using this link & if you decide to sign up for more sessions, you can get an additional session added to your package when you mention THEWINDYCITYMAMA!
I had the pleasure of meeting Tiff, the founder of Tiff Marie Maternity while I was pregnant with Ivy. She has gorgeous, quality pieces that will make any mama feel like a million dollars! I purchased this gray, embroidered dress for my cousin’s wedding while I was pregnant with Isla and LOVED it!
Pais 312 is a Chicago online party decor store that makes the most incredible balloon arrangements for all occasions! We got one to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday and it was so beautiful! They deliver on orders over $25 and have same-day delivery available.
Chicago French Press is a local Chicago, Black woman-owned online coffee house aimed to connect java drinkers to quality, healthier coffee options
Eris is one of our favorite local restaurants! We love eating here and taking friends and family when they come to visit. Even with the struggles of Covid, they have been focused on their customers and the community. Eris is still currently open for outdoor patio eating and will have heaters for the colder months! They also offer carry-out and delivery options!
We love the prints we got from Tiny Human Print Co. for the girls’ play area. THPC is run by a local Chi mama, too! They have so many lovely print options in various sizes, including their brand new Little Feminist Collection. Use code WINDYCITYMAMA at checkout for 15% off your order!
Little Babes by LG
Little Babes makes adorable accessories for mamas and babies– from paci clips to teethers to keychain bracelets, they have it all! Owner Lauren, local Chicagoland mama, is the sweetest and will work with you to create exactly what you’re looking for! She made us this custom matching set and we love it!
ANBIA is a line of certified organic oatmeal skincare. They carry bar soaps, body washes, and foaming hand soaps. The founder Julia is an amazing and inspiring lady who wanted to create a skincare line for those suffering from sensitive and problematic skin issues. We use ANBIA in our home and love the benefits it brings to our skin!
I hope you enjoy this list of small businesses as much as I do and have a lovely time shopping on Small Business Saturday!
with love,
